I am going to enter this car into the Lovely Hanglar only challenge dots

I have a hard time producing cards for boys but like this image so much I decided to ink him up. The papers used for this card are My Minds Eye.

Flower Fairy

Good evening every one. I am late again as usual, but what can you do?...... so many things to do and not enough hours. I am sure all those bloggers out there with kids will agree.

On to the card.......................I am going to enter this one into the following challenges
A Spoon full of Sugar - Things with Wings

I bought this stamp in a set  by Pergamano over a year ago and this is the first time that I have inked it up.
Not sure why because she is quite cute don't you think?
The papers are from a stack by Prima.

The image has been coloured using copic's

I love making these hearts. Just a simple chipboard heart coated in several layers of embossing powder. The cloudy sheen is achieved by sprinkling in some some perfect pearls powder beneath a clear layer of embossing powder.

Card Recipe.
Fairy stamp - Pergamano
Papers - Prima Fairy stack
Swirls - Marianne die
Flower lace - From stash
Bazzil card stock
Chipboard heart - Woodware
Copic Markers

Hope you like it

Butterfly

Hi all I think I have finally got blogger to play nice. I tried all the tips like clearing my browsing history and cookies (thanks Pop's). Clearing the cookies gave me back some functionality, but I finally had to load Google Chrome. All now seems to be back to normal so fingers crossed.

Right onto the card................................

This card if for the Simply Less is More challenge
I must say that I struggle with these challenges. I have to stop myself from piling on more and more stuff and have to be physically restrained!!!!!!!

I don't think it comes much more simple than this, but that said I am quite pleased.
I fished out a very old stamp that I must use more often. The row of flowers is by Hero Arts.
Butterfly is a Marianne die and cut from purple Bazzil card.

Card Recipe.
Flower stamp by Hero Arts - The Craft Barn
Hugs to you stamp - The Craft Barn
Butterfly Die by Marianne - Crafts u Love
Coloured using Copic's

I hope you like it

Bloggers broke again

No sure if everyone else is having the same problem, but I cant leave comments for bloggers who have their comment boxes embeded at the bottom of their posts. If the pop up comment box is being used leaving a comment is no problem.  I did a bit of investigating and if you go into your settings select pop up comment box people can leave you comments no problem.

What a nuisance. When will blogger get it right???

I am off to walk Bailey. I will try and post later on. If blogger lets me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birdcage tilda

I have been very lax with my posting this weekend (sorry) . I kept meaning to post something and even do a bit of blog hopping to see what you have all been up to but I just couldn't seem to find enough hours in the day. My son and husband dragged me off to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4 this week end. I must say it is worth a visit even if it just to sit and stare at Johnny Depp for 2hrs!!!!!!! My daughter was very Jealous as she had gone along with her boyfriend and couldn't get in. That will teach for thinking that she was too cool to go to the cinema with her parents..................

On to the card

I finally broke into my Mariposa papers to make this one, and then went a little nuts with the Tim Holtz products. I have crackle painted with picket fence again and used the birdcage die. It goes perfectly with the Tilda with birdcage stamp.

The paper rose has been made using glittered mulberry paper cut using the Marianne die.
I just had to use the cute little humming bird charm (he looks as though he has escaped from his cage)

The bird i from the same die as the birdcage.

Card Recipe

Papers - DCWV Mariposa
Tilda stamp - Magnolia
Birdcage die - Tim Holtz
Humming bird Charm - from stash
Ribbons - from stash
Picket fence crackle paint - Tim Holtz

Hanglar Cameo

It's been a bit of an up and down week for so have not posted as regularly as i would have liked. I have been off work for a couple of days with an allergic reaction that seems to have targeted my face and neck so I am not very pleasant to look at ,at the moment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the plus side I seemed to have had a creative burst yesterday and managed to finish this card that I started 2 days ago.

Hanglar Cameo Card.

I am really proud of this one. It may have taken me 3 days to complete but I think it was worth it in the end.
I am going to enter this card into the following challenges
The stamp is from Hanglars Messenger kit, which i think goes so well with the DCWV Black Current stack papers. i ribbled some grey paper and cut with a Martha Stewart punch to create the faux lace. I added some real cotton lace  to complete the effect.

The swirl behind the main image I cut using my Cricut machine ( I think at 3.5 inches)
The dainty Little flowers have been made using the Tim Holtz tattered florals die.
All of the edges have been distressed.

More Tim Holtz flowers

Pretty Hanglar

Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well.

Just a quick post this morning I'm afraid. I am a bit under the weather today. I keep having an allergic reaction to something and coming up with a rash from my face down. Hope I'm not becoming allergic to crafting that would never do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hanglar sitting girl from the attitude collection.

Challenges
I'm going to enter this into the Divas by Design Challenge One for the Girls
and the Crafters Companion challenge

I have used My Minds Eye papers yet again (sorry I cant help my self)
The embellishments on this card are grunge board painted with milled lavender crackle paint and then glittered with stickles. Yum!

I've used a punched lace as well as a cotton lace on this card, and just to go right over the top purple daisy lace across the middle.  You can never have too much lace.
I broke out the nesties and used the out of the frame technique and a triple layer of Bazzil.

Card Recipe.
Papers - My Minds Eye
Lace - Hero Arts
Lace Punch - Martha Stewart
Daisy lace - Ally Pally London

Pirates of the Caribbean Eskimo Frosting Style

I made this card about 4 months ago now. It was supposed to be for for a friend of my son, who is quite a tomboy!. I couldn't bring myself to send it in the end and gave her a girly card instead.Hence this card is still in my massive collection!. But what with today being the launch of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 I thought I might dust it off and show show you lot.

ARRRRR

Girly Pirate card.

I bought a collection of nautical stamps when I first started crafting many years ago from The Stamp Man. They were perfect for this card. I used them to create the torn scroll/map and to over stamp the wonderful DCWV Fairy Tale papers.

Girly skull and crossbones.
I used a Sizzix die for this and some silk ribbons.

The ship is a sizzix die too. Very fiddly getting the skull and crossbones on the sails.

Pirate cards are not just for boy's

Sun Flowers

Good evening everyone.

Well this one was quite a rush I never thought I would get it done.  I had this great idea (or so I thought) so was ultra confident that it would not take me long!. Well I was wrong. 2 and a half hours later and I am only just there.

For this card I have used the fantastic sketch from a spoon full of sugar challenge

Sun Flowers.

I've gone all orange for this one.

The papers used for this card are from My Minds Eye. I love this magnolia image but I don't use it much so I decided it was about time she had an airing. I made the lace doily behind her with my Cricut.

I have had these sunflowers so long that I almost forgot where I got them from. I think it may have been Hobby Craft but don't quote me on that one.

I have decorated the inside of the card to match the from.

Card Recipe.

Papers My Minds Eye
Card stock from Bazzil
Stamp from Magnolia
Lace Hero Arts
Flowers Hobby Craft

Friends

Well here it is as promised the third of my trio of Lilli of the valley cards. Its a bit late, but I do have an excuse. It was my son's 11th Birthday today and I was kept very busy chasing 11 boys around a bowling alley!

A quick reminder of all three cards

Friends.

The card looks quite blue in these photo's but it is in fact lilac.

I don't remember who the striped paper is by, it's been in my stash for quite some years. The lovely lace punch is by Martha Stewart as are the leaves.

I was having a little play with my grunge board and painted the heart with lilac crackle paint. Before the paint dried i dropped on a Swarovski crystal and prayed it would stick.

Card recipe.

Paper from stash
Punches from Martha Stewart
Grunge board heart Tim Holtz
Crystal
Flower from stash
Ribbon from Sugar and Spice craft
Stamp from Lilli of the Valley
The image has been coloured using a copic

Time for Tea

Well what a day!  blogger goes mad and looses two of my post's, and now my comments are disappearing. Still mustn't grumble it is Friday the 13th after all and something had to go wrong.

Time for Tea

I am going to enter this card into the Lilli of Valley challenge Ribbons and Bows

Just a quick one today. I have used my Cricut again to make the base in White. The accent paper is from K&Company wedding collection and the image is of course Lilli of the Valley.

I hand ruffled some pink organza ribbon and stitched on some faux pearls.
I think this came out well and will definitely use again on another project.

I stamped the image in Memento Ink Tuxedo black and then coloured using Copic's.
The edges have been distressed and then inked with old paper.

Love to know what you think.

White on White

I should be in bed sleeping be don't seem to be able to. I decided to do a bit of blog hopping and came across this challenge on a fellow bloggers site and decided to have a go, and at 11pm at night that's no mean feat for me I can tell you.

The challenge white on white over at Less is More.

Any way here it is

White on White.

Well what can I say, I broke out the Cricut and the Cindy Loo cartridge. I selected doily number 3 and cut it at 5.5inches from smooth white card stock. the base card is from Craftwork Cards and measures 6x6 inches. The butterfly and the roses were cut using Marianne dies. I have finished the roses using sticky white pearls.

I think the end result turned out simple and classy.

Card Recipe.

Card base: Craftwork Cards
Smooth White card: Craftwork Cards
Cricut and Cindy Loo cartridge
Marianne dies: Crafts u Love
White pearls: from stash
White Glitter mulberry paper: Pinnacle Crafts

I'm off to bed now but please leave a comment and

Bubbles and Hugs

Good evening every one.
Another late one I'm afraid. It's been all go at work and I've been absolutely flat out trying to catch up with deadlines. Not to mention last minute nerves with my son who is taking his SAT's exams at the moment. Right on to tonight card:

I made this one to enter the Little Claire Challenge 6 Sketch.

Bubbles and Hugs.

Pictures are not very good tonight I am afraid.
The layout of the card is from the Little Claire sketch. I have used self adhesive DCWV papers throughout with just a smattering of perlised card from Craftwork cards. The bubbles have been enhanced with stickles for added sparkle. The stamp used is Dream a Little Dream by Little Claire.

This cute little rosette I make myself with tulle, organza ribbon and a pearl brad

 I'm forever blowing bubbles.

Tilda in the Jungle

What a terrible day I had yesterday. I didnt post because I had had a nasty reaction to some shell fish I'd eaten on Sunday. Not a pretty site and no sympathy.

So today I am going to post the card I should have posted yesterday. I am going to enter this card into the Just Magnolia challenge Anything Goes and Diva's by Design

Tilda in the Jungle.

I decided to go for a step card this time as I haven't done one in ages. I started off with an A4 piece of card and then cut it using a template. I'm please with the way it came out but it did take me absolutely ages to colour and assemble. I'll list the card ingredients at the bottom of the post.

Here's a close up of the cute little monkey.

The flowers are Shabby Chic by magnolia which I've tweaked a bit with an embossing tool.

Wow this waterfall background takes some colouring I can tell you. I have made the waterfall twinkle with some stickles.

Card Recipe:

Take one sewing machine and all of the following to make one card!

Magnolia stamps used
Jungle Tilda
Large monkey
Waterfall Background
Shabby Chic flowers
Flower vine (not sure what it's called)
Bon Voyage Ticket Stub

All of the above purchased from Sir Stampalot

The papers are Madeline by K&Company
A scrap of cotton lace by Hero Arts
Sentiment by Craftwork Cards
Some Scraps of recycled brown paper for the leaves and behind the sentiment
Bazzil green card

Copic's

and as many different greens as you can lay your hands on.

Please leave a comment it would be very much appreciated.

Jewellery making, creativity and a whole lot of rambling.................

So its been quite some time since I posted anything here and although I still love card making I haven't made anything for about 3 years...
