Spring Time

Good after noon every one and I hope that you are all having a lovely weekend so far. Its turned a bit chilly down here in London so i may have to get my coat back out!.  I have spent a wasted afternoon running around looking for Game shops that are still open. My son received quite a few gift cards for this shop and has been saving then up. We heard recently that they would be going into receivership so thought we best spend then quick. We were quite surprised when we found an open shop to be told that although Game was still trading and may be bought out by an American company they had been told not to honour any of their pre-sold gift cards!!! My son was quite upset I can tell you. I have told him that I will give him the money that was on the cards. After this experience I will never again give gift cards, its just too risky in today's climate. I feel so sorry for the staff of this shop having to pass out the news to disgruntled customers. Enough moaning and on to my card.

Now I haven't used a Hanglar for quite some time but this image had been stamped up and was in my tin of uncoloured images so I spent the evening going through the images and colouring some up.
I cant remember what she is called but i am sure that someone out there in blog land will be able to tell me.
I have coloured her up using copic markers
E55,E53,E51,E50,E13,E11,E21,E00,YG25,YG23,YG21,BV02,BV01,BV00
The papers are Tilda and bought from Hobby Craft. The buttons, ribbons and lace are from CraftsuLove. For the paper lace I used a Magnolia Doohicky and the ovals are spellbinders nesties.

Rock Princess

Just a quicky today. I finished this card late last night and it was too dark to take photographs, so I waited until this morning but still didnt find the time to post. There just does not seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment and it's playing havoc with my crafting!
Anyway enough waffle. My card today is my first attempt at a Kenny K image. What do you think?

This crazy image is call Kitty Katastrophe. Not my usual style but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I spent colouring her. I used copics because I felt that the image needed quite strong colours. The paper are DCWV Black currant. I always struggle with this stack and am never quite sure how to use the paper. I guess you have to come out of your comfort zone sometimes. Overall I think I am quite happy with the result.
I broke out my Cricut to cut the heart with bat wings. The cartridge that I used was called rock princess.
To finish off I used a black feather and a Tim Holtz trinket pin

Distressing (DT card for Diva's)

Good morning everyone and its time for another challenge over at Diva's by Design. This week the challenge is Distressing and our sponsor for the challenge is Pink Gem Designs. Why not take a wander over there and have a look at the goodies they have for sale.

For my card I have used an image by Mo Manning called Taking a Break. I have coloured my image using Copic's

The papers are My Minds Eye Complete boy. I have distress all of my edges with Tim Holtz walnut stain and a little blue china to give an aged effect. I have used Kraft card for the base and the crumpled sentiment. The large brad at the corner is making memories. I got a whole pack of these from a pound stall!!! I am rather disappointed that I didn't buy more of them.

In miniature

Good morning every one and happy mothers day. I hope that you are all being spoilt rotten and receiving lots of pressies and pampering. My son woke me up with a cup of coffee and chocolates and then rushed of to a rugby tournament with his dad. My eldest Louise is still in bed after a night out partying (nothing new there then!).

Challenges I would like to enter:
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - Spots and Stripes
Crafty Ribbons Challenge -  Birthday
Cute Card Thursday - Happy Birthday
Crafty calender - Spring Clean

Anyway onto my card for today................

I have had a go at a tiny card that everyone seems to be doing and I must say I rather enjoyed it.
The image is so old I don't even remember what she is called. All I can tell you is that it is by Ketto designs. I bought her over a year ago and have just inked her up!
The image is really quite small, no more than 2.5 inches and has been coloured using copics.
I cut the card base using the largest of a nesties label set. The papers are very old too and by Making Memories. The pad is a 4 x 4 and called cosmapolitan.
The border is a making memories die embellished with sticky back pearls.

Any way Thanks for visiting me.

Rule Britannia

Good Morning Everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend. We had a good one. My son Chris swam for the Scouts on Saturday and came back proudly clutching a gold medal for the relay race and 2 near misses in the freestyle and the breaststroke. We were so proud of him. He was absolutely tired out when he came back and went straight to bed.

Enough waffle and onto my card for today...

Ok so the little cutie is called Bossy and is by Mo Manning.
She definately looks as though she has the world under control!!.

I coloured her up and then chose my papers. Maybe not the best of ideas but as soon as I finished colouring her I knew what I was going to do, so it was a quick dash to the shops to buy the Portabello road papers by Papermania. I know i promised myself that I would not Spend any more money until April but  I needed these papers!!

I coloured bossy with copics and Prisma's.
Copic colours
B99,B97,B95,B93,E21,E11,E00,E000,C1,E53
E51,E50,R29,R27,R22,R20
The card blank is by Crafwork Cards and the postage mark stamps are by Papermania & called portabello Road. I used my nesties for the ovals and a Doohickey for the bunting.

Honey

Good after noon every one. I have not been around much recently and for that I apologise. I have been really busy and tired recently but I am feeling a bit more awake today and will be around to check out your lovely blogs later.

It is going to be a quick post because my son is swimming in a Gala for the scout today I will have to get him there soon.

Any way onto the card........

Well no surprises here I have gone for another gorgeous saturated canary image. This one is called Honey. Isn't she just adorable?
I'm back on the Prisma's for this one. I am alternating between Copic's and Prisma's at the moment but I don't will I will give up either mediums I love them both too much.

The papers that I have used are First Edition New Leaf and I love the greens and oranges together.
The doily has been cut using my Cricut and the paper lace cartridge. I managed to find a wooden doily in my stash that sort of matched.

Jewellery making, creativity and a whole lot of rambling.................

So its been quite some time since I posted anything here and although I still love card making I haven't made anything for about 3 years...
