Friends

A very quick post from me today. I haven't felt well all day and have a throbbing head. Hopefully I am not coming down with something just in time for the weekend.
Any way on to the card.

I have used one of those lovely teddy Bo images
for this card which I have coloured with Prisma pencils.

I was so excited when I found this stack of papers at Crafts u Love.
The papers are by GCD studios and are called Ella Blue.  They have a really lovely feel to them. Slightly textured.

I have used another of my bargain bin dies for this one. Would your believe the gorgeous little bow on the corner was cut from a die that cost me £2.50!
Thats enough now because my head hurts.

Saturated Canary Ivy

Good evening to all those bloggers still awake. I am so late in posting but I do have an excuse. I have been catching up on all the laundry that I should have been doing during the week. Not very exciting I know but it has to be done (unfortunately!!). Before you start feeling sorry for me I did manage a brief visit to Crafts you love on Saturday and bought some beautiful paper and the new heart border memory box die oh and I almost forgot a hand full of the new Saturated Canary digi's. It's one of these digi's that I am going to show you today.

Let me introduce you to Ivy the Nerd

Ivy is created by the very talented Krista Smith.
I spent a lovely afternoon colouring Ivy with my Prisma pencils (in between loads of washing!)

Here's a close up of Ivy in all her glory. Cute isn't she, and to think I almost passed her by until my husband told me to buy her. Good choice I think?

The gorgeous papers are First Edition desert bloom.

I have used several dies on this card and they are:
Magnolia lace doohickey die
Joy craft Tab die (this was a real bargain £2.50 in the sale bin at crafts U Love)

As you can probably guess I am going to enter this card into the Saturated Canary challenge - Punches and Dies
The Crafty Purple frog Challenge - Anything Goes

Kisses

Evening everyone. It has been a long time between post. My new years resolution was to be more organised so I have broken that one already!. I will get better I promise.

I made this card for my mums 80th birthday which was yesterday. The photos are not brilliant as they were all taken in a rush at night so the flash has caused a bit of flare.

Challenges:
Anything goes challenge blog
Make it Monday
CES Challenge blog - Vintage

This is the first time I have ever coloured with pencils on kraft and I absolutely loved every minute.
It seemed quite fitting to use pencils as my dear old mum bought them for me. She was very surprised that I didnt just want them to colour in the childrens colouring book she also gave me to go with them!!!!!

The papers are First Edition - Summer Breeze matted onto some more Kraft and distressed with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.

The gorgeous image is a Mo Manning called Kisses.
Another first for me but it definitely wont be the last time that I use this talented ladies images.

I am not sure if you can tell from the photo but this card is a whopping 8 inch x 8 inch.

I always really appreciate your lovely comments so feel free to drop me a line.

Fizzy Jynx

Good evening every one. I have a Saturated Canary card to post today. The image is by the fabulously talented Krista Smith. I am fast become addicted to these cute images as am I to prisma pencils! I have always previously coloured in copics and I love then to bits. But I got pencils for Christmas from my son and my mother and have not put them down since. So here's my card and I hope you like it............

I really love this image, she is called Fizzy Jynx and I think you are going to be seeing a lot more of her!
The image has been printed out onto smooth white card stock and has then been coloured with Prisma pencils

I so love the way she turned out. The hair took me over an hour and a half to work out, but it was worth it!

The gorgeous key has been cut from chipboard with a bigz sizzix's die and then thinly coated in distress embossing powder. I let some of the grey board show through for an aged effect.

The papers are First Edition Summer breeze, the ribbon and the lace are from my ever growing stash of  bits and bobs.

I would like to enter this card into:
Make it Monday
Cup cake crafts challenge- Something new
I have use my new pencils and my new digi
Paper take weekly Challenge - Die cut special
Ladybug crafts ink TLT Challenge blog- Anything goes using new stash (Prism's and digi)

Sarah Kay

Hello everyone and a happy New year.

I think I have finally got my act together and hopefully I should be posting more often in 2012 (or thats the plan!).  I have decided that I should colour up batches of images and then when I need to make a card I will have coloured images ready and waiting to choose from.

My first card of 2012 is for my Great nieces birthday at the end of January. She will be 2.  Now I know what you all must be thinking...... she must be as old as the hills. Well thats not true!.  I have extremely old brothers and sisters and I came along to torment them in their teenage years.  Hopefully none of them will read this blog or I am going to be in serious trouble. so befor I make things any worse here is my card .........

I have used a beautiful Sarah Kay image for this card and its Elodie in her garden. This is the first time that I have used this image and I am not sure why I waited so long!!
The papers are Lost and found by My Minds Eye. I love the pink gingham, its just right for a little girl.

I went a bit over board with the embellishments on this card. I dont usually go for tons of flowers but I think I like the way they turned out. The roses and the metal corner are from Wild orchid crafts and the little rose buds are from hobby craft. I found the cute watering can in my stash of charms that I bought quite a few years ago.
The die cut lace border is another one of those gorgeous memory box dies
( I am fast becoming addicted to these ). The swirl and the tag are of course doohickeys from Magnolia.
The image before i forget to tell you is coloured with prisma pencils.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Well that's all from me for now. I hope to be back tomorrow with another card.

See you soon
