Last Post of 2011

It's been a very long time in between post for me, but I have been so busy with Christmas I just havent had time. I had to work right up until christmas Eve this year, and every time I came in from shopping I seemed to have forgotten something and had to go back out again. Still Santa did bring me some much longed for Prisma pencils this year so it was all worth it in the end.  The kids got their I pads and we have had all Christmas with my son secretly filming his sister and threatening to upload to you tube and much playing of the the fruit Ninja app.  We are all of out for a family meal tonight so I would like to wish every one in blog land a very happy New Year and a prosperous new year.

I have a small selection of Christmas cards to show you that I didnt get to post before and hopefully I should be back in a day or so with some with some cards coloured with my Prisma's.

This card has been made using a memory box die and dove craft papers.  The pretty Magnolia is a sweet Christmas stamp and has been coloured using Copic's

Again I have used a memory box die. The papers are MME Christmas and the cute image is Hanglar.
I am not sure what it is called as it was given to me by my niece. The image has been coloured using Copic's.

I have coloured this Lili  of the Valley image with Copic's to match some Christmas papers that
I found in my stash and forgotten I had. The snow flakes are a Tim holtz die that has been distress with picket fence crackle paint.

I really enjoyed making this card. It's been such a long time since
I broke out the Cricut and it was really quick to make. The base card is from craftwork cards and the lace cut out is from the paper lace cartridge. The bird cage is from Joys of the season cartridge.  The border is a memory box die embellished with seasonal glitter.

Thank you for looking and once again Happy New Year

Steampunk

I have not been around much the last 2 weeks and I am so sorry but work has been absolutely manic and at the same time I am try to get the kitchen
re decorated before Christmas!!   I am hoping that things settle down a bit at work but I am still going to be ultra busy until Wednesday at least, and then hopefully the pre Christmas wind down should kick in  ( i can hope at least )............

Any way onto the card. I have taken the plunge and bought several of the beautiful Saturated Canary Digi's by Krista Smith.  This beautiful Digi is called Sprocket the steampunk aviator.

I was so pleased when these Digi's arrive in my mail box. I have been aching to buy some after seeing the wonderful Creations being made with them in blog land..
 Isn't she cute?

I have coloured my image using Copics.
E37,E35,E33,E31,W7,W5,W3,W1,E77,E74,E71,E70,
E11,E21,E00.E000.R20,R36,R34,R32,R30.
Because sometimes my Digi images smear when coloured I left it overnight to dry and then heat set it.
It seems to have worked a treat.

The pretty papers are from a stacked by Tilda called kitchen garden. i wasn't sure if they were going to work out but once I had grunged them up a bit with some Tim Holtz distress ink it all seemed to come together.

The clock die is a Tim Holtz by Sizzix's and the flower was made from a Marianne die. I ran my flower pieces under the tap scrunched them up and then left them to dry for a bit. While they were still damp I unrolled them and inked the edges. I also used a section of a large Prima invoice stamp for my background.

Challenges I would like to enter

I hope you like and I will try to be a better blogger in future
