It's challenge time again at Diva's by Design. The Theme is to Tie a Ribbon sponsored by 2 CuteInk.

For my design team card have kept it quite simple and used stingray kids by 2 Cuteink. I stamped the image onto some white card and coloured using Copics. I found the sentiment in my bits and bobs box so am not sure who it is by. I then wrapped the card in acetate and and glittered the bubbles and the sand on the acetate with stickles. I felt I had a bit of a blank spot so I went back to my stamp draw and found the little diver. The blue ribbon is by American crafts which I found at TK Maxx .

Joy

Good morning everyone I hope your weekend is going well. I have to say I am feeling a little worse for wear this morning but not for the reason you are all probably thinking. I spent 8 hours at Thorpe park yesterday with my son, his friend and my nephew. I had forgotten how much ground could be covered on one of those visits! Still they all had a great time which is the main thing.

I have a quick post for you this morning which was commissioned for an 80th birthday of a lady Reverend Cannon. I really didnt know where to start so asked for some more details. The brief I had was to think Vicar of Dibley!  As soon as I was told that I knew which image I wanted and went straight to the Mo store for Joy. I had also been thinking about entering the Mo Manning DT call for the last week so I am going to Enter Using this card.

As soon as I saw the image I knew I had the perfect paper stack which was DCWV black current. I think they work perfectly  The image has been coloured using Copic's.
I have used quite a few different cuts on this card. The main background scalloped edge has been cut using my Cricut and the fancy edge cartridge. The 80 was also cut using the Cricut. The flag banner is my new favourite banner by La La Land and the scalloped banner across the middle is a Die-namics die. The red ribbon and shoes were just a add a dash of fun and I think it works quite well

It's time for another challenge over at Stampin for the Weekend. This fortnights challenge is Button It Up which is being sponsored by Bugaboo.

For my card I have used K & Company papers called Hop Scotch. The Image is of course a Bugaboo digi called Deacon Bugs. I have coloured him using Copic Markers and then matted onto some Bazzil card. I am not sure where I got the blue mesh from, I found it in with my blue ribbons and liked the texture so I used it.

Ok thats all from me. Dont forget to pop over to the Challenge blog and partake in the wonderful inspiration from my teamies.

Memory Album

Good morning everyone.

Its time for a new challenge at Diva's by Design. This weeks it's everyone's favourite anything goes!
We have a fabulous sponsor for this challenge in the form of Iva Nova Chest...........

I have tried something a little different for me this time. A colleague at work asked if I would make her a memory album for a friend. The brief was to create an album for a Moroccan  gentleman who was very organised, loved life and bright colours and most of all liked every thing to be on time.

It tool me 2 weeks to finally finish the book and I am so pleased with the way it came out but was a little worried if I had got the brief right. I needn't have worried because my colleague loved it.

Sorry it's a bit photo heavy!

I have used a mixture of Kaiser craft papers for the book (sorry I don't know what they are called). I also managed to find some leather look black paper which was perfect for this project. I have used a hidden binding system for this book which was demoed on You tube by Kathy Orta and after using this technique I don't think I will use any thing else!
