SFTW DT Card

Good morning  fellow bloggers. Now I know that you are all very busy what with Christmas being only 4 days away (where did the year go!) but it's time for another challenge over at SFTW. It's nice and simply because we have gone with everyone's favourite anything goes. Our generous sponsors the time are The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop and Bugaboo. You have until the 3rd of January 2013 to submit a project so once that Turkey has gone down why not have a little me time and enter the SFTW challenge

So here is what I produced for this challenge and I am sorry to say it is another Christma Card but I had so many to make this year that it seemed a shame not to show them!

I have used the very last of my Christmas lost and found pad for this one. Once again I have used my cricut to cut the card base from the sentimental s cartridge. The flower which I have used a lot lately was cut from the flower shoppe cartridge. The gorgeous image is Lilli of the Valley coloured in Copic's.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas.

It's challenge time again over at Diva's by Design. As this will be our last challenge before Christmas it is only fitting that our theme this time is Merry Christmas/anything goes. The Challenge will run for three weeks giving you plenty of time to join in over the festive season. Or wonderful sponsors this time are Mulberry crafts who have generously donated some beautiful flowers and Gingersnap Scraps online store......

For my offering this time I have used a fab Mo manning image called Winter fairy Halla. I have used copics to colour and a touch of stickles to give a frosty look. the papers are lost and found Christmas. I have used my Cricut again for this card . The base card was cut at 5.5 inches using the sentimentals cartridge. The flower was cut using the flower shoppe cartridge and the bauble from a third cartridge called winter frolics. the lace and the twine are from my stash and the sentiment is by rose studios cut with a circular nestie.

Have a merry Christmas everyone

let it snow

I am so sorry scheduled post just did not happen and I have only just got in. It should have posted 9am this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Stampin for the weekend challenge. This time the challenge is Let is Snow. Simply use a snowy image or create a snow scene on your project. Our sponsors this time is Simon Says Stamp.

For my DT card I have used a Lili of the Valley image. Isn't he cute?

I have really kept it very simple as this card was commissioned for a little boy called Oscar by his grandma.
The papers are from my stash and I have had them so long that I dont remember who they are by, which is a shame because I love them so much. The stamp is delivering the present by Lili of the valley and I have coloured him using copics. The gorgeous snow flake I got in a pack of 6 for 50p and the sentiment is computer generated.
Do pop over to see my team mates and spread the love
Any way thanks for stopping by

Princess Pia

Good morning bloggers. Firstly I have to say thank you to my niece who helped me finish my card. I am not sure what I have done but I have a really painful shoulder at the moment!. I was half way through my Diva's DT card and had almost decide that I could not finish it because of the pain but my 7 year old niece came to the rescue in the form of manning the cuttlebug and generally helping out so thank you very much Amelia.

Now onto today's Diva by Design challenge. This weeks theme is Glitter and Sparkle sponsored by Kenny K. We have generously  been given some images to play with and I chose Princess Pia.

As you can see from my card I got a bit carried away with the purple hair and the glitter!!!!!!!!!!!

The image is coloured using Copics and lashings of stickles. The papers are DCWV called Chateau Lavender which I bought from the Glitter pot a few months ago. I have matted my paper onto some silver mirri board for added sparkle (as if I needed any more!) Amelia kindly cut my frame using nesties and also the boarder by memory box. The sentiment is Craftwork cards and the flower is cut at 2 inches on my Cricut. The pink and lavender pearls are form my stash as is the black ribbon.

Internet down all weekend

Hi Every one. I have been trying to catch up with some of blogging this afternoon. I have had to go all weekend without internet. It started playing up last week then Friday night nothing. I thought not to worry it will be back up by the morning. How wrong was I. We called BT Saturday afternoon and had to run through the endless checks still nothing. BT inform my husband they can't come out over the weekend it will have to wait until Monday. Ok I can live with that.....I didn't bank on a discontented 12 year old son who refuses to believe  that life can go on without internet!!!!!!! Every half an hour on Sunday are you sure the internet is down, you get the picture. Well todays appointment was any time from 8am till 4pm.  I have to go to work so I left my 22 year old daughter in charge. Much moaning this is my day off and she finally agrees.
My daughter rings me at work and says that here is a whole fleet of BT vans outside. Apparently the whole street is now down!.
The engineer checked my modem and the cabling nothing wrong he decides to go outside to look at the box in the street and thinks that the problem is the fiber optic card ( I have no idea what this is) he informs his boss no it cant possibly be the card check something else. My daughter tells me the engineer has checked every thing and is getting the right hump because he is 100% it is the fiber optic card. It turns out that it is the card so many hours of tinkering could have been avoided. What about the neighbors connect I hear you ask well BT has this policy that they have to check every thing they possibly can before they admit it is the software card issue and even though my engineer had uncovered the problem every other BT engineer that turned up to the neighbors today still had to go though the check list.

Sorry about the rambling. I will slowly make my way round to catch up, so if I haven't visited it nothing personal.

I shall leave you with a pick of a piece of jewellery I was commissioned to make  a while ago. It's make from 10mm banded agate and 99% pure Thai silver. I havent make jewellery for awhile I many have to get my tools out.

We are very lucky this week to have 2 lovely sponsors... Lily of the Valley and Simon says Stamp

For my DT card I have used an oh so cute image by Lili of the Valley called a Christmas bear present. The paper s are First edition. The Christmas sentiment is by Wild Rose Studios. The chipboard snow flakes I bought from the Craft Barn last year. I have coloured my image using Copic's and embellished with a little stickles and some machine stitching. Jelly Pip

Good morning, wasn't yesterday cold! I am sure that on the way home from work I felt snow......

Right onto the real reason that that I am here this morning, It's time for a new challenge over at Diva's  by Design and this time we want to see something CUTE. Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Joanna Sheen.

For my DT card I have inked up a stamp that I have had for while now but have never taken her out of the draw! (Thats really bad isn't it?) Her name is Jelly Pip by Sugar Nellie. I have teamed her up with some of my last sheets of Portobello road by paper mania. I have really enjoyed using these papers and when I bought them it was..... I like then what can I use then with?#

The card base is by Craftwork cards. I have zig zag stitched around the edge to give another dimension and of course I just had to use one of my new favorite flowers made with my Cricut. The frames have been cut using Nesties and the image coloured with Copic's. The lace and ribbon are from my ever growing stash

Christmas Bauble

Good evening and first let me say a huge sorry to my teamies at SFTW. This post should have been up this morning and I got so tied up with what is going on at work at the moment that it completely went out of my head and I didnt schedule my DT post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So once again I am so SORRY.

This fortnights challenge over at stampin for the weekend is a nice simple Anything goes. Our generous sponsor this time is The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop.

Now my DT card for this challenge may seem a little early as its a Christmas card but if you have been outside today you now that winter is definitely on its way and Christmas is only 61 days away!

For those of you that have a Cricut bear with me on this one because it was only a few days ago that I realised that I could cut different shaped card blanks with it! I have only had the machine for 2 years.............A note to my self  use the tools that I buy more often,  they are not ornaments!!!!!!!!!!
I have used last years lost and found Christmas papers for this one on a circular Card base cut at 5.5 inches. The image is by the talented Mo Manning which you can find here . I coloured my image using copics and a touch of stickles. The metal sentiment was found in the £1 bin at a recent craft show. The flower I made using my new favourite Cricut Cartridge Flower Shoppe and of course the scalloped circle was cut using my nesties.

Hazel the Witch

Good morning bloggers. Wasn't yesterday horrid?.... My garden looks like a swamp and our rotten dog thinks it's great fun to dig holes and then walk mud all though the front room. Apparently Pom's are not diggers according to our vet! I think someone needs to tell Bailey he's not a digger.

Any way on to the real reason that I am posting today and that's because we have a new challenge over at Stampin for the weekend. The challenge this time is Something Spooky. With Halloween just round the corner ther could't be a better opportunity to get out those witch and ghoul stamps and have a play. We are very lucky to have two wonderful sponsors for this challenge and they are...............

And

For my offering this time I have attempted a twisted easel card. I have never made one of these cards before and boy are they hard to photograph. I ended up having to tip the card slightly forward to get a picture. I am still not happy but what can you do?...............

The image I have used is Hazel  created by Sylvia Zet which you can buy from Wee Stamps. The papers are My Minds Eye Black Bird.I cut the papers using my Cricut into a scalloped squares. I have used a Memory Box die for the corner flourish and a Marianne die for the leaves. The flower I cut using my Cricut. I think that you may be seeing these flowers quite a lot on my cards. I have had a great time making them from my bag of scraps. The button and ribbon came from my ever growing stash of bits and bob's. Nearly forgot to say I coloured the image using my Copic's.

The White Rabbit

Hello bloggers.....Thank goodness its Friday that's all I can say. It's been a bit of a week for me. I had oral surgery at the hospital on Monday and am only just starting to feel human again.  I had a botched root canal treatment a few years ago and had infection after infection. The hospital had to remove the tooth and then scrape the infection from my jaw bone. Not pleasant I can tell you. Any way enough moaning the worst is over and the really good thing is that there is a new challenge over at Stampin for the weekend to take my mind off it.................................

The challenge is feeling floral. So anything with flowers really.....The challenge will run for 3 weeks and is being sponsored by In 2 Stamps. The winner will be selected at random.

Ok so this is my offering

I have used a Gorjuss girl image called the White Rabbit (hence the title) I coloured her up using Copic's with a little bit of glaze on the watch face. The papers I am really pleased with, They are a K&Co self adhesive mat stack which I found at Hobby Craft. The cute little sun flower was cut using my Cricut and cartridge walk in my garden. The ribbon is from my stash. The metal sentiment was a real bargain, absolutely free on a magazine a couple of years ago.

Do take a mosey around my fabulous team mates blogs as they have some great inspiration projects for you.

Monochrome at SFTW

Good morning every. It feels like I have bee away forever! I have just come back from my family holiday in Mexico so I have rather a lot of catching up I am afraid. So if I haven't been to visit in a while it's because I have been lounging around the pool cocktail in hand! Back to reality this morning. I am working from home today and having huge headaches with my internet. If it carries on I am going to have to pop into work and nobody wants that!!!!.

Any way onto todays challenge over at Stampin for the weekend. We want to see monochrome cards this time and what that means is shades of only one colour. Our very generous sponsor this time is Simon says stamp, who are offering a gift voucher worth $25  to the winner. How good is that?.

My DT card

I have gone for a really simple card this time. A Craftwork cards base and a simple stamped image by Woodware stamps. I have used Copics in shades of grey and complemented the whole thing with some grey Bazzill card. I dont think you can see from the picture but to add some texture I ran a piece of white card though my Cuttlebug using a polkadot folder I bought from the Glitterpot.

Thanks for popping by and do take the time to check out the fabulous cards by my talented team mates at SFTW.

Jewellery making, creativity and a whole lot of rambling.................

So its been quite some time since I posted anything here and although I still love card making I haven't made anything for about 3 years...
