Flat Friends

Happy Easter everyone................

Stampin for the Weekend have a new challenge starting today and we want you to show us anything but a card.  Our sponsor for this challenge is Flat Friends by Emma Canning. We have been given some fab images to play with so here is what I did...................

I have been hanging onto these door hangers for ages. I bought them from the MDF man at Ally Pally for 70p each. When this challenge came along my daughter reminded me that I had promised to alter one of these hangers for her bedroom. I let her choose a Flat friends image and then set to work. First I coated the edges of the hanger with white paint and then covered with some papers from Magnolia for the front and the pink plaid on the back is whimpsy.
I used an oval nestie to cut a window in a piece of contrasting paper and then used my computer to print my daughters name. The image has been coloured using copics. The metal corners and key are from Creative Expressions. The latch and chain are Tim Holtz. All of the other bits and bobs are from my stash.

We would love it if you combined the sketch and the optional theme but if boy cards are not your thing then just follow the sketch. Our fabulous sponsor is Fred She Said Designs.

I was given a cute little character called Nolan to play with and this is what I came up with.................

I have used a much neglected pad of paper by My Minds Eye called complete boy. My card this time is 4.5 inches by 6 inches. The cute string of bunting I cut using a Doohickey Die by Magnolia and then strung them onto some bakers twine.

Good afternoon bloggers. It's teaming with snow here so I have been wrapped up indoors and have taken the opportunity to do some much neglected crafting. It has been quite some time since my last post. The reason being is that my mum has been in hospital for the past 4 and a half weeks so between visits to the hospital and work I haven't had much time to spare. I am glad to say that we were able to bring mum home on Thursday. The hospital have arrange for home help for six weeks so hopefully with a little time she should be back to her old self.

Right on to my card. Let me know what you think because my mojo has been much lacking recently

I have decided to go with this really cute Mo image called Billie with Bear which I have coloured using my trusty Copic's. Dont you think that she is just so cute?. Like a twit though I got so carried away with colouring her that I had forgotten to choose my papers and then had to go delving around my paper box to look for some that would match! I think these work ok. They are my First Edition from the Love Letters pad. I am not sure if you can see but the chocolate background paper has tiny blue polka dots, though in this photo they look more green.

I made my base from a sheet of kraft card and then set about seeing if I could use by Cricut Expression to cut all of my layers instead of using die's. All of the scalloped circles have been cut using elegant edges and so has the scalloped boarder. The beautiful banner is a die by La la land. Unfortunately I dont own this die it was kindly sent to me as a sample from Dies to Die for and as soon as they come back into stock I will be buying one!

Challenges I would like to enter
Alphabet Challenge - C for Coverted (I need that Lala land die)

Any way that's all from me and thanks for stopping by

DT card Sketch N Stash

Good morning.
Its time for another challenge over at Sketch N Stash. All you need do is follow the sketch below and add in the optional theme if you would like of using spring colours. How easy is that?......Our generous sponsor this time is Whoopsi Daisy.

Now I haven't used spring colours for my card but the cute Whoopsi Daisy image suited the new papers by First Addition call Jadore so much I just had to use them. I am really pleased with the way it all turned out too. I coloured my image using copics and then cut her out. I then cut an oval using a Spellbinders nestie and stuck her on using some pin flair glue. The card base is Craftwork Cards and I have no idea where I got the ribbon from

Any way thanks for popping by.
Do take a look at the stunning inspiration provided by the talented Sketch N Stash you won't be sorry.
