Spitz the Christmas Elf

Good morning fellow bloggers. Christmas is almost here so for my SFTW DT team card I have made a another Christmas card using the Fabulous Spitz from Saturated Canary. This fits in nicely with the new challenge that starts today at SFTW.

The theme for this challenge is to use some Red on you project and as always at SFTW you must use either a digital stamp or a rubber stamp on your projects. Our generous sponsor for this challenge is Saturated Canary who kindly provided the team with some lovely image to use.

I love this cute little fella and as soon as I had coloured him with my Copic's I knew exactly which papers to use. I dug out my First Edition Christmas pad and finally after a year of hoarding used the candy cane papers. (well you have to wait for the right image don't you?).
I distressed the edges of al my papers and them layered them up onto a Craftwork card base. The gorgeous wreath cut using a memory box die has been heat embossed using white Frantage embossing powder.
I also used a Doohicky die for the lace at the bottom. The poinsettia flowers were cut using an old quick kutz die.

My team mates have produced some beautiful projects so do go take a peak.

Buttons

Good afternoon everyone. I am a little bit late with my post today, but I do have a really good excuse. Work is absolutely manic at the moment we have been a member of staff down for nearly 6 weeks now and I don't every seem able to catch up at the moment. I work as part of a small but very busy MIS team for a local council and I don't think we have every been so busy! Our team has been cut from 4 to 1.8. Any way enough moaning there are far more interesting things to talk about like the fact that its challenge time again at Diva's by Design. We have a brand new sponsor for this challenge in the form of Stamp and create.
Our theme for this challenge is
Spooked

I struggle with Halloween cards so this was quite a difficult card for me

I have used a Make it Crafty Digi called Buttons. I really wasn't sure how to
colour this one up. At first I went in with the Copics but the paper that I was
using just would not let me blend! so next I broke out the Prisma's. After a lot of struggles
I was finally happy with the image but what was I going to do with the card base?
I decided to keep it simple at first and just used some My minds eye Halloween papers
on black card. I cut a black fancy frame with my Cricut but it wasn't scary enough so aft a quick visit to the pound shop I came back with a large bag of assorted spiders. I dry brushed them with some gold nail polish and stuck them to the frame. To finish off I added an assortment of black and clear bling and some glitter.

Well what do you think?

Good morning fellow bloggers. What a wonderful week we have had so far! who said we never get a summer in England? The only down side for me is having to roast in an office. We have no air con and the temp is currently a steamy 32 at my desk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enough of that and on to the important matter of the new Challenge over at Diva's by Design.

Our new challenge is TAG'S.
This challenge is being sponsored by EZ Templates.

For my DT creation I have gone with the rolled pouch EZ Template.
I have a Cricut so was unable to use the SVG file so I just printed it on patterned card and cut it out.

I inked the edges of all my pieces and then assembled with score tape.
All of the bits and bobs were in my off cut tin and the metal word was free on a magazine years ago.

I am back

Good  evening everyone.
It has been quite some time since my last post and I feel that I am now ready to tell you why. Almost 3 weeks ago my mother sadly passed away after being ill for quite some time. Although very ill and having recently being diagnosed with cancer her death was not expected to happen quite so quickly. It came as they say like a bolt out of the blue leaving the whole family in a state of shock and turmoil.

She was a big part of our lives and will leave a massive hole that will be impossible to fill. Over the years my mother played carer to nearly all of her 7 grandchildren while I and my siblings went to work and without her none of us would have been able to provide for our children as we have so for this and many other things I am eternally grateful to her.

It's challenge time again at Diva's by Design. The Theme is to Tie a Ribbon sponsored by 2 CuteInk.

For my design team card have kept it quite simple and used stingray kids by 2 Cuteink. I stamped the image onto some white card and coloured using Copics. I found the sentiment in my bits and bobs box so am not sure who it is by. I then wrapped the card in acetate and and glittered the bubbles and the sand on the acetate with stickles. I felt I had a bit of a blank spot so I went back to my stamp draw and found the little diver. The blue ribbon is by American crafts which I found at TK Maxx .
