Gone shopping

Wow what a week I have just had. My mum is hospital, my daughter was stranded on her own in Cuba because her travelling companion was in hospital. It's been a complete nightmare. Well my daughter is home safe and sound and my mum came through her operation well. It's time for a bit of normality now so I will do the rounds over the next few days.

My card today is made using one of the new Lili of the Valley stamps and Prima Botanical s paper.

I am going through a bit of a purple stage at the moment as you can tell from this card. Nearly all of the embellishments come from wild orchid crafts.

Teddy Bea yellow Tutu

I have printed off another of those wonderful Teddy Bea digi's that I would like to share with you.
I was inspired to make this card by some K&co papers that I have had in my stash for years. So instead of the traditional Pink or lilac tutu I decided that Bea would look great in yellow. What do you think?

I have used a collection of K&co embossed daisy paper's to make this card along with some                    co-ordinating Bazzil card in yellow.

'Wishes' is a metal embellishment that I got free on the front of a crafting magazine some time ago but I think it works quite well on this card. The little glittery heart I got from Lakeland.

The cream ribbon on the card I got from Creative expressions when I visited the Alexandra palace craft show in April.

The down the edge of the card is cut from K&Co paper with a Martha Stewart punch.
I have glitz Bea's Tutu with some stickles.

The image has been coloured using Copic's in the following colours

E37,E35,E33,E31,E30,Y28,Y26,Y23,Y00,W7,W5,W3,W1,W0

Challenges that I would like to enter.

Teddy Bo challenge - Bling it on
A spoon full of sugar- Ribbons and Bow's

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like my card.

Paper roses

Good afternoon everyone. I hope all the dads out there are having  a lovely day and being pampered rotten.

The card that I would like to share today is one of those lovely new Lili of the Valley stamps. I bought my stash at the stroke of midnight when they were released.

The challenge this week over at Lili of the Valley is bring on the music. As soon as I saw this stamp I new what I was going to do. The song I have chosen is Paper roses. A bit of an obvious choice I know but I can remember being about 5 and this song being played on the radio. I think I may have given my age away now!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really like the way this card turned out.
I have used K&Co special occasion paper along with some Tim Holtz papers . The beautiful rose is Prima.

A close up of my Prima rose.

I have coloured my Image using copic's and the card stock is Craftwork cards smooth white.

I have distress with picket fench crackle paint one of those beautiful Wild orchid craft metal corners.

Pink Icing memory book

Good evening everyone I hope you had a lovely Saturday afternoon. I have a different type of post today. I have recently got into memory books and when the challenge at Diva's by design came up with anything but a card, I thought this would be the ideal opportunity for me to share one with you. The book is made from 6 DL envelopes and I found the tutorial for this on you tube some months ago I think the video was by Following the Paper trail.

The papers are by DCWV the Sweets stack. I glued this beautiful paper to the chipboard covers with ultra tacky glue.

I used matching chipboard pieces on my front cover and tied the spine with some satin ribbon.

All of the pages have been made using DL envelopes with the ends cut off. I scored the envelope about two thirds of the way down and this created a short pocket and a long pocket. The envelopes where then covered in designer paper and at one end i created a flap which you will see in the photo's as you go down. I then glued all of the covered envelopes together at the fold to create my book.

I embellished my pages with lace ribbon an chipboard pieces and then inserted tags for journalling.

I hope you like it. I really enjoyed making this project. All I need to do now is find the time to add some photo's!!!!!!

Tilda in the frame

Good afternoon every one. I hope you have all had a good day so far. I have been a bit lax with my posts this week. The intention has been there but it has been such a horrible and stressful week for me so far that my mojo just went out of the window! Hopefully thins will get better ( fingers crossed ). Any way enough moaning and onto the card. I am going to enter this one into the Magnolia inspirational challenge 2 with the theme of brown pink and white.

I decided to treat myself to a new Cricut Cartridge. It's called Paper Lace and I have used it to cut everything on this card. Isn't the flower shape behind Tilda cute?

I have used an old Tilda stamp from the Bon Voyage collection and coloured her using pink and brown Copic's. The butterfly embelli is cut using my Cricut.

I just love the way the word celebrate came out and the die cut boarder goes perfectly with the petals behind Tilda.(again all Cricut)

Card Recipe.
Backing paper by Dove craft - Mr Pound!!!!!!!!!!!
Coloured card stock by Bazzil - Sugar and Spice
Ribbon from stash
Copic's

Teddy Bea in the pink

Good evening every one. I have had a bit of a mad few days so have not been creating much. Any way I have been looking with envy at all the beautiful Teddy Bea cards that have been posted. Now
I have been bit bit unsure about these. Don't get me wrong I am totally in love with the images but I have never used digi images befor and was worried about colouring with my copic's. So I hummm'd and Arrrrrr'd asked a few questions and then Mina kindly pointed me in the direction of Mo's digital pencil help section. Well now I am a complete convert so much so that I rushed off and bought several images and I will definately be back for more.

So here is my first every Teddy Bea card coloured with Copic's

Teddy Bea is mounted onto a step card which has been covered used the DCWV self adhesive paper.

I think that the papers are so pretty that the card did not need much embellishing so I just used some Magnolia swirls and a sprinkling of glitter and feathers. I tucked some organza behind the feather to give a softer look.

Card recipe.
Papers  DCWV - Hobby craft
Ribbon and Butterfly - Hobby Craft
Swirls  Magnolia Doohickey die - The glitter pot
Sentiment by colorbox - Creative past times (sadly no longer trading)
Copic markers
E37,E35,E33,E31,E30,R32,R30,R00,R000,W7,W5,W3,W2,W0

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Teddy Bo challenge shaped cards
Paper take weekly challenge Anything goes
Spoon full of sugar Here comes summer
Make it Monday

I hope you like it. I really enjoyed making my first ever Teddy Bea Card.

Please leave a comment to let me know you have stopped by and I will visit you back.

Monochrome Rose

Good afternoon. I hope everyone has had a lovely day so far. This is going to be an extremely short post, I have only just come in from work and must get some house work done today!

right this one is for the Simply less is more challenge week 18 Monochrome.
and the CES challenge clean and simple

I broke out an extremely old wood mounted stamp for this one. Its by Linda Hutchinson from a company called Stamps Happen. The Image is called How do I love Thee

I just stamped the image onto white card stock using black memento ink and coloured the rose using copic's  in warm grey shades W7,W5,W3,W2,W1,W0. The image is then mounted onto grey Bazzil card stock and embellished with a snippet of grey ribbon

I am not sure that I am happy with my first attempt at a monochrome card but I am sure I will get better with practice. (Hopefully!)

Love Grows Lili of the Valley stamp

Well what an epic this on has been. I have had terrible problems with my photo editor so much so that yesterday I sulked off to Sussex for some retail therapy at the Glitter pot and spent far too much money!!!!!!!!!!
The kids have gone to bed so I have taken the opportunity to download a free trial of Microsoft office 2010.It really worked a treat, photo manager is fantastic so I now have 60 days to decide if I want to buy. Happy days!!!!!!!!!

Right to the card ever since I saw the Lili of the Valley challenge to involve die cuts I have wanted to do this card. So without further adieu here it is...............................................

Well the challenge was to use die cut embellishments and I think I may have gone slightly overboard but hey ho.

The image is LOTV Love Grows. I bought this stamp in April and I am ashamed to say this is the first inking.

The tag has been cut using a Magnolia DooHickey die and stamped with the sentiment love grows. The tag slips out from behind the main image.

Hopefully you can see in this photo that the card is a dimensional step card.

Finally the last photo!. Sorry I got so carried away and there are rather a lot of them.
This last picture shows the removable tag .

Card recipe.
Prima papers botanical collection - The Glitter pot

Vintage/Shabby Chic

Good afternoon everyone. I have not posted for a few days. It's half term and the house is in upheaval. My 11 year old son is no problem, but when you add his sister to the mix who is almost 21 and should know better the fireworks fly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right today I am going to share a card that I have been carrying around in my head since the weekend and have only just managed produce today!

I have been at the DCWV papers again. I cant resist the blackcurrant stack. The image is princess magnolia. She's been stuck in the draw for ages so needed an airing. The frame I cut with my Cricut from grunge paper and then crackled with picket fence. All of the paper edges have been distressed.

The word adore has been cut from black Bazzil card using the Cricut and the home decore cartridge.
I love the ruffled ribbon which is from Tim Holtz as is the fabric rose. I just added a sparkly brad for effect. The Buckle I bought from the last Alexandria palace craft show in April.

Inside the card (sorry about the photo)

Jewellery making, creativity and a whole lot of rambling.................

So its been quite some time since I posted anything here and although I still love card making I haven't made anything for about 3 years...
