Memory Album

Good morning everyone.

Its time for a new challenge at Diva's by Design. This weeks it's everyone's favourite anything goes!

I have tried something a little different for me this time. A colleague at work asked if I would make her a memory album for a friend. The brief was to create an album for a Moroccan  gentleman who was very organised, loved life and bright colours and most of all liked every thing to be on time.

It tool me 2 weeks to finally finish the book and I am so pleased with the way it came out but was a little worried if I had got the brief right. I needn't have worried because my colleague loved it.

Sorry it's a bit photo heavy!

I have used a mixture of Kaiser craft papers for the book (sorry I don't know what they are called). I also managed to find some leather look black paper which was perfect for this project. I have used a hidden binding system for this book which was demoed on You tube by Kathy Orta and after using this technique I don't think I will use any thing else!

Baby Wings

Good morning, it's a beautiful day here in London. The sun is shinning (for a change). I hope every one is making the most of the fine weather and the Bank Holiday.

Sketch N Stash have a new challenge starting today (113)  Sponsored by A Day for Daisies. All you have to do is follow the sketch below and throw in our optional theme of things with wings (remember you don't have to use the optional theme but you do have to use the sketch)

For my card I have used this beautiful image called Baby with Wings which was kindly provider by A day for daisies. I have coloured her with Copic markers and used these beautiful papers by Pink Paislee called London Market. The background is a piece of Bazzil bling card and the ribbon is American Crafts. The gorgeous Lacey frame is by Marrianne dies.

SFTW DT Card

From a different angle

For my card I have used a Teddy Bea image coloured with Prisma Pencils. The papers are the last of my Portobello Road stack. I have cut the edge of the paper with a Magnolia Doohickey lace border die. The other bits and bobs are all from my stash.

Our optional theme this time is distressing.

For my DT card I just couldn't resist these gorgeous papers from Lilli of the valley called country lady. The papers are designed by Nitwit.

The very cute image by Lilli of the valley is called Big Hug. I have used my trusty copic's to colour.  

All of the edges of my papers have been distress using Tim Holtz distress inks.

The gorgeous banner is a die by La la land. The sentiment has been stamped and cut using whimsy stamps and Dies and last but not least at the bottom of the card I just could not resist using my new bow die by

 Die-Namics.

Butterfly's and Birds

Good morning,

 It's time for a new challenge at Diva's by Design. This weeks theme is Butterfly's and Birds sponsored by Dilly Beans.  

We have been given some lovely images to play and I have chosen to use Penelope with Bird cage for my card.

I have used my favourite First Edition papers called Spring Feast. The Dilly Beans image has been coloured with Copic markers. The lace and the cute wooden butterfly are from my stash. The image has been cut out using a Spellbinders die.

Friendship

Good morning it's time for a new challenge at Stampin for the Weekend. The theme this time is Friendship.

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Saturated Canary. The team have been lucky enough to receive some gorgeous image's to play with. For my card I chose Tammy Pie.

I cut my card base from Kraft card and then followed a sketch from the Deconstructed sketch. The papers are My Minds Eye Lost and found from the pink and blue collections. Tammy Pie has been coloured using Copics and then cut out using a Spellbinders nesties (I think they are called distressed edges). The sentiment was printed from my computer.

Sorry this is such a quick post. Mum's back in hospital again so I a bit all over the place.

Here's what I did with the Sketch

I have used a fabulous image by Mo Manning called dream coloured with my trusty Copic's. The paper is K and Co Hop Scotch Boy which I have embossed with a dots folder. The Bi Plane is a wooden piece that I have heat embossed. I think I these from Hobby Craft. The clouds are cut from a Doohicky Die.
