DT card for Diva's By Design - Spots and Stripes

Hello everyone it's Wednesday again and that means that there is a new challenge starting over at Diva's by design. The challenge tis week is 'spots and stripes' so put your thinking caps on because we would love for you to join us with your fabulous creations.

This weeks sponsor is Meljen's Designs a lovely stamp company owned and illustrated by Melissa Jenkins. She illustrates whimsical rubber and digital images inspired by her kids and family. Meljen's Designs has new releases along with a new challenge every Thursday, freebies every Monday and a Guest Designer each month at the Meljen's Designs Blog. Please visit the Meljen's Designs line of stamps at the STORE to browse and enjoy Melissa's wonderful images!

I have used garden Bun Bun fairy for my card and I think it goes really well with the spring colours on the card. The papers are by K& Company and are called Small Wonders. The ovals have all be cut using my nesties and the lace edge is a doohickey die Swedish lace. The matching gift bag I made after stumbling across the craft bag in my stash and felt guilty that I had not done anything with it. I am glad that I did now because I know just the person that I am going to send this to.

Thank You for your visit

Diamonds and Pearls

Good evening every one. it's been a few days since my last post but I havent been idle I promise.
However I was rather bad at the weekend I have to admit. I treated myself to the 150 set of Prisma pencils. I went up to Crafts u Love near Gatwick (2hr round trip, now thats dedication!). I just couldn't help myself!
On a plus note I now have a brand new unused set of 72 Prisma's in a tin up for sale.
The price at Crafts u Love is £79.99 but I would be willing to let them go for £55 plus £5 postage and packing. If you are interested drop me a line on jayneainsworth@btinternet.com. I will post a picture of the pencils later tonight or tomorrow.
Sorry sold!!
Now onto my card for this evening.....

I have never made this shaped card before. It has taken me nearly 2 weeks to get my head around it. I think it came out all right though. I cute the shape using my Cricut and then cut several lays in decreasing sizes for the mats.

The cute image is Pricilla Pie a ragamuffin by the talented Krista Smith. I coloured the image using Prisma's and then matted onto chocolate bazzil card. The flower I made using a sizzix flower die. The butterfly is a Marianne die finished with pearls. Pricilla had little pearls drawn in her hair but I decided I wanted to use crystals to make her hair sparkle

Spring is in the air

Good evening everyone. I hope you are all well. I have been sofa hunting this week but as of yet have been unable to spend the money that is burning a hole in my pocket!!. I must be getting really fussy in my old age because I didnt come across one sofa that I though I might like to buy. I have now called in the brother in-law who makes sofa for a living to see if he cant help. Fingers crossed..

On to my card.
Challenges:

I have used another fabulous digi by Mo manning called Sydney on Easter. I have coloured her twice using my Copics and then did a little layering to make her standout from the card. Unfortunately in my efforts to make her look more rounded I creased her face and arm a little!
The papers are from First Edition (Spring Drop)
I broke out my memory box dies again for the lace edge.

Strawberries and Cream

I have been feeling a little guilty as I have not posted for a week so felt I should get a wriggle on. It's not that I haven't made anything it's just I haven't had time to photograph any thing to a decent standard ( that and it being half term of course!)

Without further adieu here is my very quick post...

I have used another of those fantastic Craftwork card blanks covered in Die Cuts with a View paper Sweets. All of the paper used was from one 12 x 12 sheet. The top is strawberries and the bottom cream stripe yum..
In the spirit of using up much neglected stash I rummaged through my collection and came out with some green velvet ribbon ( I don't even remember buying this!) DCWV pad (the shops this was bought from has since closed down about 2 years ago) apiece of white ribbon rescued from a chocolate box and an old button. I used the button and the ribbon to make a rosette. I saw Lisa Jane do a tutorial with felt and set about  making a version with the ribbon.  I like the way it came out but next time I will go a bit smaller.
Last but not least the fantastic digi images is Saturated Canary and she is called hand me downs.

Hope you like it

Diva's by Design DT Card

Good morning every one.
Today is my first official  DT card for Diva's by Design and this week the theme is Love is in the air. What could be better with Valentines day just around the corner? do come along and join us.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Emma's Store.
They have some fabulous stuff over there so don't forget to take a look

Ok on to my card.
I have used another of those fabulous Krista Smith images. She's called making Valentines. How could I not use her with a title like that?
I have coloured her with a mixture of Copic's and Prisma pencils (mostly Prisma's)

I had a great time playing with this card and used all sorts of different styles. The heart is MDF and to fit in with the colour scheme I triple embossed it with burgundy Cosmic shimmers. I know you cant tell from the picture but the heart moves freely.
The heart lace doily in the back ground has been cut using a Cricut expression and the paper lace cartridge. Its a large card so the doily was cut at 7 1/4 inches. The pink paper has hearts on it and is by DCWV. The metal corners are by Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a Tim Holtz on the edge die to for my sentiment tab. I cant quite remember were the sentiment stamp came from but is may be a Hero Arts.

Keisha

Good afternoon every one. I have just got in from work and wow what a week I have had so far. Busy busy busy and to top that my son came in from school he handed me a letter about academic review day. He told me that he had been given his appointment at 3pm and knew I wouldn't be able to make it so he swapped with his friend for a 9 o'clock appointment so I could go with his dad. What he hadn't realised was the appointment was 9am and not pm. Oh well he tried his best I shall just have to try and get the morning off work. I could do with a rest any way.

Onto the card. I coloured the image last Sunday and have only just got around to putting the card together.
I wasn't sure about the papers at first but they have definitely grown on me.

The fabulously cute image is by Mo Manning. I am really pleased with the way she came out.
The papers were a stack that I found at the back of the draw. They are DCWV sticky back papers.

The tiny little bit of a die cut that you can see is a Memory Box boarder. I have to say they these dies are fast becoming one of my favourites.
I have coloured the image with copic's
E25,E13,E11,E21
BG09,BG07,BG05,BG02
E57,E53,E51,E50
E49,E27,E25

Jewellery making, creativity and a whole lot of rambling.................

So its been quite some time since I posted anything here and although I still love card making I haven't made anything for about 3 years...
